What's in a Name?

Or I should say "what's in a code name"?
Barack Obama and his family had chosen their secret services code name this week, as they were given the first letter "R" to start with and I was curious about what were the definitions of those words. Beside my little comments about them I'll let you to judge by yourself is they fit the character of the person or not... some are very interesting in all aspects and are speaking for themselves.

So, from now on...

Barack Obama is:
Renegade: someone who rebels and becomes an outlaw or someone who breaks with established customs. A deserter from one faith, cause, or allegiance to another. An individual who rejects lawful or conventional behavior... (Not sure how it will be interpreted by his opponents and other bigots or fanatic conservatives but it is a sure bet that Obama was not thinking about the word's origins when he picked it up.... According to the Online Etymology Dictionary, Renegade's earliest meanings had to do with deserting one's religion, coming from the Spanish word 'renegado,' originally 'Christian turned Muslim.)

Michele Obama is:
Renaissance: A rebirth or revival. A revival of intellectual or artistic achievement and vigor. (Sounds like her...)

Malia Obama is:
Radiance: the quality or state of being radiant marked by or expressive of love, confidence, or happiness; brightness.

Sasha Obama is:
Rosebud: a rose which has not yet fully opened. (a literary reference to) a pretty young girl.

But what was (is) the code name of the out going first family, and the ones of McCain and Palin's family?

Georges Bush was (is): (Make your pick)
Tumbler: An acrobat or a person who performs somersaults and other acrobatic feats. (Oh yeah.. we noticed how he flipped flopped and manipulated)
Any of various domestic pigeons that tumble or somersault backward in flight or on the ground.
A drinking glass without foot or stem and originally with pointed or convex base. (particularly appropriate for a heavy drinker like him...LOL)
A piece in a gunlock that forces the hammer forward by action of the mainspring.
Also, eager to leave something better in his legacy, he decided to change his code name and went for «Trailblazer»
Trailblazer: Someone who marks a trail by leaving blazes on trees. An innovative leader in a field; a pioneer in a particular field (would this field be «ignorance» or «stupidity» maybe?)

Laura Bush is:
Tempo: rate of motion or activity. Pace. The rate of speed of a musical piece or passage indicated by one of a series of directions (as largo, presto, or allegro) and often by an exact metronome marking. (she must have been a «bolero» since she went un-noticed during 8 years...)

The two Bush's Daughter are:
Twinkle: To shine with slight, intermittent gleams, as distant lights or stars. To be bright or sparkling, as with merriment or delight
Turquoise: a mineral that is a blue, bluish-green, or greenish-gray hydrous basic phosphate of copper and aluminum, takes a high polish, and is valued as a gem when skyblue.

(I personally thought that those two girls code name were «Drunk» and «Drunker»...LOL! I don‘t know where I got that!)

John McCain was:
Phoenix: A bird in Egyptian mythology that lived in the desert for 500 years and then consumed itself by fire, later to rise renewed from its ashes. A person or thing of unsurpassed excellence or beauty; a paragon. (Oh boy! My friends... talk about having a big ego!...LOL)

Cyndi McCain was:
Parasol: A light, usually small umbrella carried as protection from the sun. (I guess «Phoenix» was so bright and so shiny that she needed one to protect herself...LOL)

Sarah Palin was: (sure she will keep the same for 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024...LOL)
Denali: a mountain in south central Alaska; the highest peak in North America. (Ego sound to be the norm too, or maybe it defines a superiority complex!)

Todd Palin was:
Driller: (should I comment or define this one?...LOL ! Does someone remember Sarah rhetoric: «drill Baby drill»?)
