Sarah the Shopper has now a spectacular new wardrobe, and the Republican campaign donors picked up the tab. Fools !....
The Republican National Committee spent $150,000 on clothing and accessories for the vice presidential candidate and her family since early September, according to a report by the Politico Web site !!!

Maybe she should campaign naked don'tcha think? or maybe in bathing suit, like she was used to wear...
At Saks Fifth Ave. stores in NY and St Louis, the RNC paid for $49,425.74 in Palin apparel... What the hell they bought her? I betcha Cinderella was the one picking up the clothes
There also was a $75,062.63 in one single shopping spree, no less,
at Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis, where the Palins stayed during the Rep Convention last month; $9.447.71 at Macy's in Minneapolis; and $5,102.71 at Bloomingdale's in NY.
That much cash can buy a closet full of the pumps, hot red leather jackets and form-fitting business suits for the Alaska governor to wear on the stump

Another $4,716.49 on hair and makeup came from the GOP while wooing "Joe Six-Pack" to vote for John McQueen. And more than $5,000 went to a men's store and a baby clothing store. Ohhhh... how sweet is that!.....
But hey ! nothing went to my favorite shopping stop : Walmart! How come? Betcha it's not good enough for them LOL....

However there were some days, once upon the time when she wasn't that upscale... As this picture in college can prove!
Late Tuesday night, McCain-Palin spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt said the clothes will be tossed in a charity bin of some sort after Nov. 4 in a hilarious (no pun intended...) response:
"With all of the important issues facing the country right now, it's remarkable that we're spending time talking about pantsuits and blouses. It was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign."

No kidding.....

Apparently federal law would prohibit the McCain-Palin campaign from using campaign funds to "personal use" - a definition that specifically includes clothing purchases.
But a Republican strategist of course, said the expenditure by the party committee was legal... They never do anything wrong don't they? They screw people but hey "that's legal!!!!..."
It seems that, Mr. and Ms. Joe Six Pack ticket is really Mr. and Mrs. Cristal Magnum.

Just a thought for instance The Washington Post’s Robin Givan in his September 7, 2008 article “First Ladies and the Fabric of the Nation,” estimated that the price of Michelle's outfit at the Dem Convention when her husband embrasses the nomination was around $1,500...

I wonder how 'Joe the Plumber' feels about his donation going to Sarah the Shopper, and some people started to guess that she can also see Saks from her doorstep...
So that got me thinking: what does $300,000 mean to Americans who don't have the luxury of inheriting a gargantuan beer fortune?
To Cindy McCain, $300,000 is the price of an outfit.
To most Americans, $300,000 buys ...
... one and a half houses, given the national median home price of $206,500.
... a year's worth of health care for 750 people.
... the full array of back-to-school supplies and clothes for 500 kids.
... enough gas to drive cross-country 543 times.
... 365 round-trip flights from Washington, D.C., to Anchorage, Alaska. (John McCain should have splurged on at least one.)
... a three-course steak dinner (at Mat-su Resort) and a movie ticket (for the Mat-su Cinema) for every man, woman, and child in Wasilla, Alaska.
... enough money for three Troopergate investigations.

And this is not all!
Palin also charged Alaska for her children to travel with her, including to events where they were not invited, and later amended expense reports to specify that they were on official business.
The charges included costs for hotel and commercial flights for her three daughters to join her to watch their father in a snowmobile race.
In October 2007, she took daughter Bristol on a trip to New York for a women's leadership conference. Plane tickets from Anchorage to La Guardia Airport for $1,385.11 were billed to the state, records show, and mother and daughter shared a room for four nights at the $707.29-per-night Essex House hotel.
In all, Palin has charged the state $21,012 for her three daughters' 64 one-way and 12 round-trip commercial flights since she took office in December 2006. In some other cases, she has charged the state for hotel rooms for the girls.

Which explain why they think that the economy is sound!
Oh Boy! this country is in deep trouble, should I say deep shit (you betcha... ) if those two are elected...
